A core vision of California State University, Dominguez Hills is to serve the students of our community who aspire to earn a college degree and to provide students with the pathways and guidance necessary to succeed in reaching their aspirations. It is that vision that inspires the Office of Educational Partnerships. Our mission at the Office of Educational Partnerships (OEP) is to improve college access and success for students from historically marginalized and underrepresented communities in the South Bay and South Los Angeles areas. OEP pursues its mission by way of its core programs: - TRIO Educational Talent Search
- TRIO Upward Bound
- TRIO Upward Bound Math and Science
- TRIO Student Support Services
- TRIO Veterans Student Support Services (through the Veterans Resource Center)
- GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs)
- Male Success Alliance (MSA)
OEP also acts as a conduit from CSUDH to community-based organizations whose mission and services serve an equal purpose. Through our partnerships, programs, and services, the talented staff of OEP contributes so each student’s holistic development, academic preparation, guided exploration, and access to higher education. The goals of student matriculation and graduation from higher education ultimately reflects another core vision of CSUDH, which is that students graduate with exemplary academic educations, with highly valued degrees and a genuine commitment to social justice and civic responsibility. California State University, Dominguez Hills rose out of the ashes of the 1965 Watts Rebellion when California leaders decided to build the new state college to serve the communities that sparked the rebellion. With a heritage grounded in the struggles for equal rights and social justice, the Office of Educational Partnerships continues CSUDH’s legacy of work to reverse inequalities and empower those who refuse to accept marginalization and under representation.
